  • I loved this photo.. I’m very familiar with this activity; my last chow absolutely loved the snow and would make me chase her to bring her in from it, especially when it was fresh. The Chow-Shaped snow angels she made were adorable..

We lost her a few months ago to cancer. I’m heartbroken, still of course. Photos like this offer a bitersweet memory of her.

One day soon hopefully I’ll be ready for another fuzzy meatball. Until then, thank you so much for this website, and especially this photo.

    • Hello Kathy
Thank you for visiting Merlin’s website and thank you for your comments.
I’m so sorry to hear about your girl. Cancer has caused heartbreak for so many of us.
      Stay strong and stay well.

I too love this picture. I was owned by a ‘Beautiful Bearcoat Shar pei” for eight years, he passed away in July due to cancer. Like you Kathy, we are heartbroken and eventually will get another shar pei. Beau loved the snow, the more snow, the better he liked it. Everyone thought he was Chow Chow, he looked just like them, only he was much smaller and had the wrinkles. Thank you for sharing this site and the pictures, It does my heart good to see they have wonderful homes. Merlin is just beautiful.. what a handsome boy!
