In any direction, as far as my eye can see, are fabulous groomed Winter walking trails in exquisite condition.
I have 120 kms of hiking trails… over 160 kms of snowshoeing trails and probably about the same of x-country ski trails…. all less than 1 km away from The Thimble.
I took the boys out for a good working walk. Don’t kid yourself, it’s challenging work, and 11 year old Merlin can still out walk the Wookster, but he truly is getting better and better. We had a super walk and a super outing. We’re doing this again tomorrow.

what a gorgeous bright day with the perfect blue winter sky! love the shadows on the snow. if there is no wind, this is the kind of winter day i love. calm, and so quiet….some winter songbirds and the crunch of snow underfoot.
