It's New Year's Eve - Out on Manoeuvers

The sun isn’t out. It’s cold…. but.. there’s NO wind.
The absence of wind makes such a difference in a Winter walk.

Our pack decided to do some “Wookie”, work and keep him advancing forward to that illusive Canine Good Citizen patch that he so badly needs on his back pack.

Wookie is doing very well. He can commandere enough mojo to keep up with us now on a 5km working walk, ( despite his bulky size). He still sports a ridiculously poor attention span, but we’re working on that. Today his task was to work at distance, and he was quite good. He’s following his hand signals , and responding very well.

We took a nice break after 3 kms of up and down and up and down hills and terrain and amazingly, and this constantly amazes me, little Shar-weeny just never, never runs out of gas. Her little legs go a mile a minute and she just keeps going and going and going.

It really was too bad the sun didn’t come out. The boys did really well and we all got a good dose of fresh air and good exercise.  We’re all back at home and everyone is passed out snoring like ragdolls. That’s such a feel good thing. I’m off to go see Avatar tonight to ring in the New Year.
