What a Winter we're having here.




Not a day without snow. Snow, snow and more snow.
The chowdren enjoyed a beautiful, mild winter day today.

MeiMei forever determined to dominate Merlin really got on his nerves today and he really "let her have it". She's upstairs sulking right now, not understanding why she had a whop-a*s put on her. Silly MeiMei.

Merlin has been such a model of patience, tolerance and acceptance with those devilish Pei, so I am not surprised that he finally had to assert his royal kingliness over the pests. But dogs do that, always checking to see if the Alpha is still interested in the job of being Alpha, and now that the issue is settled for a while, Alpha can be Alpha and the pack can sort themselves out quite happily. Everybody's happy when they all have their place within the pack. Our winter has been very odd- no snow to speak of, but plenty of wind- up to 80mph one day, power failures, downed trees, etc... I'm still predicting a 1-meter snowfall before end of March.
